Aviso legal y privacidad

Esa copia no viaja a ninguna parte.

  • si tienes el sonido del juego silenciado o no;
  • tus mejores puntuaciones del juego;

Legal

Legal notice & privacy

This site sets no cookies and does not track you. Outside your device only two things of yours exist: whatever you send through the form, which arrives as an email, and the three initials you use to post a game to the TOP 10. Here is exactly what happens, without small print.

1. Who runs this site

  • Owner: Joaquín Terrassa Mattsson (“Xim”), trading as Red Viking Location Sound.
  • Activity: self-employed professional. Location sound and sound post-production services for film, television and commercials.
  • Tax ID (NIF): 43147547F.
  • Address: Carrer Miquel Marquès, 20 · 07005 Palma, Balearic Islands (Spain).
  • Email: info (at) redvikinglocationsound.com — the direct and effective means of contact.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), served from European edge servers. Vercel is listed under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) and works under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; it acts as processor of the technical data of each visit (the IP address any server needs in order to answer).

2. What happens when you use the form

The Lab form asks for a message (required) and, optionally, your name, your email, a category and a department. Nothing else.

  • Purpose: only to read what you wrote and reply if you left an email. Never for marketing.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest in handling what you write (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you leave your email, it is used to reply to you and for nothing else.
  • Where it goes: it becomes an email delivered to the owner's inbox, sent through Resend (Resend, Inc., United States; sending from its Ireland region; DPF-listed) and received by a Gmail mailbox (Google LLC, United States; DPF-listed). Resend acts as a processor under contract: it carries that email on the owner's behalf and nothing more. The mailbox is a consumer Gmail account, and Google states that for those accounts it does not act as a processor and offers no data processing agreement: your message sits there under Google's terms of service and privacy policy, like any email you send to a Gmail address. It is not stored in any other database.
  • Retention: as long as that email stays in the inbox. There is no copy elsewhere.
  • Shared with: nobody beyond those two technical services. Never sold, passed to third parties or cross-referenced.
  • If sending fails: your browser keeps a copy on your own device (see section 4) so you don't lose it. That copy never travels anywhere.

To limit automated abuse, submissions from the same connection are counted. Your IP address is not stored as such: a fingerprint (a truncated SHA-256 of the IP and the date) is computed instead, used only as the key of a counter, and it expires by itself after ten minutes. That is pseudonymised data, not anonymous data; it is processed on the basis of a legitimate interest in protecting the service, it is not kept beyond that window and it never travels in the email.

3. Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to. What the game and the form keep on your device (section 4) is technical storage for a service you asked for yourself, exempt from consent under art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI — it is declared here for transparency.

4. What is stored on your device

The game and the form use your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your device, nobody receives it, and it disappears if you clear your browser data:

  • whether you muted the game's sound;
  • your best scores in the game;
  • a copy of any form message that could not be sent.

5. The game's TOP 10

If you post a game to the TOP 10, three things leave your device: the three initials you choose (letters and digits), the score and the time of submission. They are stored in an Upstash database (Dublin region, European Union), which acts as processor. Only the 50 best games live there: the rest are deleted automatically as better ones push them out. Three initials identify nobody; still, if you want an entry of yours removed, write to the email in section 1. To curb abuse, the same connection fingerprint described in section 2 is used, expiring here after one hour.

6. Analytics

Vercel Web Analytics is used, with no cookies and nothing stored on your device. To avoid counting the same visit twice, Vercel derives a temporary identifier from the request and discards it after 24 hours. What remains are aggregate counts: most-viewed pages, country, device type, browser and referring site. An individual visitor's journey cannot be reconstructed. The basis is a legitimate interest in knowing how many people visit the site.

File downloads, when there are any, are counted in aggregate too (total, per file, per day, per country), using the connection fingerprint from section 2 (expiring here after one hour) and storing no IP address.

7. External services that load content

Since 11 September 2026 everything the site loads when it opens is hosted on this very domain: the typefaces, the Projects posters, and also the libraries, textures and maps of the interactive globe. No third party receives your IP address merely because you opened the page; only Vercel sees it, as the host that serves it.

Videos use youtube-nocookie.com and only load if you press Play: until then YouTube receives nothing from you. The donation button opens PayPal in a new tab only if you click it; there is no PayPal script or frame anywhere on this site.

8. Your rights

You may request access to your data, correction, erasure, objection, restriction, or to receive them in a portable format (portability), by writing to the email in section 1. Where a processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by the same means, without affecting what was done before. You will get a reply as soon as possible and, in any case, within the one month required by law. If you believe your rights were not respected, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

9. Intellectual property

The Red Viking Location Sound logo is the work of Elisa Carriches Mateu, who has assigned its exploitation rights to Joaquín Terrassa Mattsson.

The texts on this site were written by Joaquín Terrassa Mattsson with the help of artificial intelligence, at his request and under his review. The illustrations, sets and characters of the Quiet on Set! mini-game were generated with artificial-intelligence tools following his directions, then retouched and assembled for this project. The idea for the mini-game and some of its lines are original to Joaquín Terrassa Mattsson.

None of the content of this site — texts, logo, illustrations, characters, music and code, including those of the mini-game — may be copied, redistributed or sold without permission. All rights reserved.

Downloadable applications. The programs offered in the Lab are licensed for personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable use. You may download and use them; you may not sell, rent, bundle them into any paid product or service, redistribute them yourself, or publish modified or derivative versions. Every download carries its full licence inside the file.

3D models. Licensed under our own personal, free, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence; the author keeps all rights. You may download them from this site, print them as often as you like for yourself and your crew, make the adjustments your printer needs (scaling, orienting, adding supports, slicing) and use the printed parts at work, including on paid shoots. You may not modify the design, share the file (neither the original nor the sliced one: anyone who wants it should download it here), sell it, sell printed copies, or bundle it into any paid product or service. Every download carries its full licence inside the file.

Rights the law gives you anyway. None of the above removes the rights the law grants you over a lawful copy of a program: making a back-up copy needed to use it (art. 100.2 LPI, which no contract may prevent), or studying how it works and analysing it for interoperability under art. 100.5 and 100.6 LPI.

The idea is free; what is here is not. Nobody needs permission to make their own game about location sound: mechanics and concepts are ideas, and ideas belong to no one (for software the Spanish Act says so expressly in art. 96.4). What you may not do is copy, redistribute or sell this code, this art, these characters or these texts.

Want to do something this does not cover — a commercial use, an adaptation, bundling it into a project? Just ask by email: the answer is usually yes, but it should be in writing.

Other people's marks. The titles, posters, logos and trademarks of the productions, platforms and manufacturers that appear in the Projects and Arsenal sections belong to their respective owners and are shown solely for informational and portfolio purposes, implying no sponsorship or relationship other than a professional one.
